Congratulations to Janie Shih on winning this year’s MCYO Concerto Competition!
Janie is from Clarksville, MD and is a senior at the River Hill High School in Howard County. She has studied at Peabody Preparatory Institute since age of 6 and plans to major in music in college. Her teachers include Alison Wells, Daniel Levitov and Bai-Chi Chen.
Janie will perform the Elgar Cello concerto with the MCYO Philharmonic on May 21 at the Music Center at Strathmore.
